Clean Label – a new concept in food labeling

This new concept in food labeling is known as "Clean Label" – an English term for a production approach that aims to meet the needs of end consumers and eliminate unpopular additives (E numbers) from food. The result is clean food (feed) that contains, or significantly limits, the use of artificial colorings, preservatives, flavorings, etc., only to the necessary extent.

Clean Label indicates, for example, these properties of formulations:

• without additives
• without emulsifiers
• without hydrogenated fats
• without artificial flavorings
• without chemically modified starches or flours
• without colorings
• without chemical preservatives
• without flavor enhancers
• without enrichment with iodine, fluoride, vitamins
• without GMO ingredients
